Not every Mustachios expedition has to span a week to leave a lasting impression. The 2024 trip proved that a long weekend, great friends, and world-class trails are more than enough to create another unforgettable chapter in the club's history.
With just two days on the bikes, the itinerary packed in three exceptional riding destinations across California's Northern & Lost Sierra. Day one combined the legendary Mt. Hough descent in Quincy with the purpose-built flow trails of Everstoke, delivering two completely different riding experiences in a single day. Day two was dedicated to Downieville, where back-to-back shuttle runs showcased the rugged singletrack, technical terrain, and iconic descents that have made it one of mountain biking's most celebrated destinations.
While it may have been the shortest expedition on the calendar, nothing about the experience felt rushed. Shuttle rides, the shared cabin, post-ride meals, and plenty of laughs reminded us that the destination is only part of the adventure.
